Café & Bar FAQ’s.

I would like privacy for our group
There are a few options available to you if you would like privacy. These are all dependent on your guest numbers and what sort of event you would like. We offer set menus in a private room or if you are after something more casual our VIP Hosting Session is a great option with access to both the driving range and function room. More information can be found on the driving range page or send us through an email.

Can we bring our own drinks?
No, we are not a BYO venue. No food or drinks are allowed to be brought onto the premises.

How long can we stay?
All café bookings are a standard 1.5 hours. Please leave a comment in the notes section if you would like to request more time and we will either accept or decline depending on other bookings and events on the day.

Do you have kid’s menus?
Yes, we do! This is only limited to a few items, otherwise, there are plenty of options on the platter they may like to share with you.

Can we bring a cake?
Orlando Country does not allow any form of food including cakes to be brought onto the property. We do have options available to purchase a cake for your celebration, which will be made onsite especially for you by our chefs. You may select this option on your booking and we will send you a link to our cake page.

Can our tradies wear their work clothes / boots?
Yes, if clean and tidy – although gumboots are to be removed at the door – please see our dress code.

What is the max number you seat in the café?
When booking we state that the maximum number in the café is 8. Alternatively, you will be able to book a driving range bay that will accommodate everyone in your group. Or please send us an email or note in your booking and we will see if there is a possibility.

How many people will a platter cater for?
If placed in the centre of the table to share with everyone for lunch they are designed on average for ‘1 platter per person.’ The antipasto is larger so designed for 2 to 3 people. If the platters are an in-between, i.e. not a full meal, we would usually work on approx. 1 platter per 3 people.

Can we have speeches in the cafe?
No one minds a few celebratory speeches for a special occasion but keep them reasonable and do note others will be able to hear them.

Are kids free?
No not at all sorry – although there are a couple of under 8 years options on the menu, or kids can share a platter.

Can I book an afternoon tea?
Sorry we don’t do afternoon tea bookings, but you are welcome to pop out for a coffee, we just cannot promise space available.

Can we reserve a table outside by the golf mats?
You can book a golf range bay via the “Driving range” page on the website.

We don’t want to book a Driving Range bay – we just want to eat lunch out near a mat and hit a few balls as we go.
On a Friday and through the Weekend, booking a driving range bay is the only way to guarantee a go on the range. Monday-Friday we have two casual mats where you can buy a bucket of balls and sit in our casual area. However, this is subject to no one already booking this area.

The date and/or time I want doesn’t show
This usually means it is either too far ahead as we only allow for 2 weeks in advance to book. Or the time you want is outside our café operating time (please see our hours of operation), or the time is already booked by someone else. Please email if you would like us to double check for you.

What happens if our group is late arriving?
If you are running late a quick email to let us know goes a long way. On the weekend this may mean there is a longer wait time for your food as there will be other bookings ahead of you.

Can I pre-order our lunch?
Our café menu can’t be pre-ordered sorry.

We just want a table for a group of us to catch up and will possibly order drinks and some platters is that ok?
All café bookings are expected to order a meal from the café menu. If wanting to share a few platters then a driving range bay is better suited to your group.

What if we arrive early?
This is dependent on the bookings before you. Sometimes we can slip you in early and sometimes you will end up waiting in the casual area.

What if we cancel?
That’s fine although we do request you consider both our business and others that may miss out due to you reserving initially. So please ensure you are committed before booking or let us know and we can pencil book you while you contact your other guests to check the date will work.

Can we change our booking to another time / day etc?
Yes if an alternative is available.

We want to book some golf balls for after our lunch?
The best way to ensure there was a spot would be to book a driving range bay. Alternatively, the casual area is available Monday-Friday. You can purchase a limited number of balls to have a quick hit – please note there can sometimes be quite a wait during busy times.

Can we have our lunch in a golf bay?
Yes! All bays are suitable for dining – just book via the “Driving Range” section instead of café.

Can we just order Chips?
Sorry we don’t do chips but do have great sharing platters that include our famous Orlando Wedges or our Hash Sticks.

Can I just choose from the cabinet on the day?
Sorry, no cabinet food available although we sometimes have a few muffins available.

Do you host stag or hen events?
No not at all sorry as they are strictly prohibited due to us hosting primarily families and corporates for events.

Can we do activities as well?
Activities are only available mid-week in conjunction with a corporate event sorry.

We would like to book the café for our Christmas party
During November and December, we offer our Orlando Christmas packages which, are a great way for you and your work colleagues to unwind on the range and enjoy a delicious set menu. Get in touch at any time of the year to ensure you can secure a spot, they book out fast!

Can we have our own music playing?
No, we have a great range of music playing from our Orlando playlist.
